Keyword
The keyword phrase that a visitor typed into a search engine.

Global Popularity
A rough indication of how often the keyword phrase is searched for each day in search engines throughout the world.

Hits
The number of visitors in the last month that searched for this keyword phrase in a search engine and then clicked the link to your web site in the search engine listing.

Transaction
The number of visitors who found you using this keyword phrase, and then went on to make an enquiry using your online enquiry form (or place an order using your online shopping cart).

Google (NZ)
Your current ranking for this keyword phrase in www.google.co.nz when the "pages from New Zealand" button is selected. Note that we usually focus on NZ based searches as it's pointless competing with (for example) website developers in the USA if you are based in NZ.

XtraMSN
Your current ranking for this keyword phrase in www.xtramsn.co.nz when the "Only from New Zealand" tick box is ticked.

Yahoo (NZ)
Your current ranking for this keyword phrase in www.yahoo.co.nz when the "NZ" button is selected.

Graphs
The graph next to each number shows how that number has changed over the last few months. This gives valuable insight into whether your hits, transactions and rankings are improving, and often reveals both issues and opportunities.
Note that for low numbers of Hits or Transactions you should expect to see fluctuations. The fluctuations decrease as the number increase and average out.

Getting The Most From Your Keyword Summary Report

Look For Ranking Opportunities
You can see that we don't have great rankings in XtraMSN or Yahoo NZ for "internet developer", but we have a good ranking in Google NZ and we are getting a lot of enquiries from this keyword.
What will happen if we increase our Google NZ ranking from 3 to 1 and get ranked at #1 in XtraMSN and Yahoo NZ? More enquiries!
The best opportunity is often a keyword that generates a few enquires but does not have very good rankings. They can be easy to improve the rankings and you know that doing so will earn more money.

The keyword phrase with the most potential in the above report is probably "internet developers".
You can see that it's getting a few hits and has had some sporadic enquiries, but it's rankings are terrible. With a good ranking on the 3 main NZ search engines this keyword could produce significant enquiries.
